The 2012 Kia Rio five-door hatchback is launching in the fourth quarter of this year with an expected price tag in RM 70,000 range, which would make it the cheapest automatic car in Malaysia's non-national B-segment. Naza Kia Malaysia's CEO Datuk Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar announced this competitive pricing last week, so it should be trustworthy enough for buyers shopping in the B-segment to delay their purchases. The pricing should be only a part of the appeal as the Kia Rio sports an eye-catching design, penned by Peter Schreyer just like the Optima K5 and the Sportage. We are not sure if the equipment level can be class-leading if the finalised pricing is as low as mentioned.
