Kia Caren 2013 revealed

After two teaser images, Kia has released the first official pictures of the Carens MPV that is scheduled to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show.Penned by ex- Audi designer Peter Schreyer around a theme that Kia describes as "dynamic space," the next-gen Carens wears a much sleeker design than the current model, which dates back to Kia's previous design language.  It has a low roofline and a long wheelbase, giving it an athletic stance that is not common in Europe's minivan segment.
Available as a five-seater and a seven-seater, the new Carens' interior is lightyear ahead of the outgoing model.  It features a wide touch-screen to control the infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and a conventional floor-mounted shifter. The Carens will likely be offered with the same engines that are found under the hood of the cee'd hatchback, including a wide range of gasoline-burning engines that go from a 99-horsepower 1.4-liter unit to a 128-horsepower 1.6.  It is a safe bet that most buyers will opt for the 1.6-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder, however.A manual transmission will send power to the front wheels but buyers with extra cash to spend will be able to opt for a dual-clutch automatic. After greeting the public for the first time in Paris the Kia Carens will go on sale across Europe next spring. At the time of writing Kia does not plan on selling the car in the United States.

New Ducatis 2013 - Spyshot

The images revealed a bike that seemed like a cross between a Hypermotard and a Multistrada. The bike revealed in the spyshots also showed traits of both the Multistrada and the Hypermotard, leaving everyone confused as to what this new Ducati was. It was also assumed that the new motorcycle could be a new mid range version of one of the two models, sporting a 849cc Testastretta V-Twin engine. On similar lines to the existing 848 mid-range Streetfighter.

Ducati is expected to showcase all three new motorcycle models at the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) in November but the first presentation will likely take place at a Ducati event, a few days prior to the Moto Show in Milan.

Subaru XV 2012 Malaysia

The Subaru XV is a new type of crossover SUV that not only projects a great presence despite its compact sporty design, but also boasts a range of new features never seen before in an SUV. While the proportions of the Subaru XV convey a sense of elegance and lightness, its exterior design combines high ground clearance, large tire wheels, and all of the other features one would normally expect to find in an SUV.

What's more, superior drive performance and fuel efficiency made possible by Subaru next-generation power unit are joined here with the excellent maneuverability for which Subaru is renowned and an extremely high level of functionality. Thanks to the symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive and advanced Subaru Dynamic Chassis Control Concept - two core Subaru technologies - this vehicle feels incredibly safe and secure to drive. And as such, the new XV adds unique Subaru value to the ever-growing C-segment crossover market.

The Subaru XV comes with shift paddles for the CVT, with a 2-DIN touch-screen entertainment unit to be used in place of the factory stereo. Others features like GPS and reverse camera could be thrown in as well. More important are safety features: front, side, curtain and knee airbags, along with traction and stability controls, are standard in the XV elsewhere, though the question remains if they will be sacrificed in order to cut cost.

The latest third-generation Boxer petrol and diesel engines, equipped with an all-new automatic start-stop system and paired to the new Lineartronic CVT (or five/six-speed manual transmissions), are more fuel efficient and cleaner than before. Especially so the heavily revised version of Subaru's Boxer 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, with 147 HP and 350 Nm, that may well be the best seller in Europe thanks to its 17.8 km/litre fuel economy and 146 grams/km carbon emissions.

The Boxer petrol options include a 1.6-litre with 114 HP and 150 Nm, and a more powerful 2.0-litre with 150 HP and 196 Nm. Unsurprisingly, Malaysians will only be offered one powertrain: the 2.0-litre engine mated to a CVT, with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system driving all four wheels on a permanent basis.

Be Iconic with New Beetle

This Volkswagen brand icon, the star attraction of the show, made its debut in the country with the 1.2TSI and a host of new features. The Beetle looks more athletic now as it sports a bolder, more dynamic and masculine stance.

The car is lower and considerably wider. The hood is also longer and the recessed windshield much steeper. All this leads to a new dynamic design, a better appearance and muscular tension. The car is 1,808mm wide (84mm wider than the model it replaces), 1,486mm tall (12mm lower) and 4,278mm long (152mm longer). In parallel, the development team has increased the car’s track widths (front: 1,578mm, 63mm wider; rear: 1,544mm, 49mm wider) and wheelbase (2,537mm; + 22mm). In comparison with the model it replaces, the New Beetle, the new car is significantly bigger and wider. There is additional headroom and legroom while the boot space is bigger.

Inside, the dashboard has been given a unique touch. It has the form and colour of the front facia painted in body colour, which makes an instant visual connection, to the original Beetle, and yet looks evolved and modern.

Priced from RM139,888, it gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine and seven-speed dual clutch transmission combination that promises brisk performance and fuel economy.

The car is available in Candy White, Tornado Red, Saturn Yellow, Reflex Silver, Deep Black, Platinum Grey and Graciosa Brown.

Peugeot 208 Gti previews

The new peugeot 208 Gti powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and 202 lb-ft. of torque. The engine was co-developed with BMW and is also found under the hood of the MINI Cooper S, the Peugeot RCZ and the Citroën DS3 hatchback, among others.

Linked to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the front wheels, the four-banger propels the 208 GTi from zero to 60 mph in less than seven seconds. Inside there is a flat-bottomed steering wheel, sports seats, drilled aluminium pedals and an aluminium gear knob. Essentially the car doesn’t differ much from the 208 GTi Concept that was shown in Geneva.

The Peugeot 208 GTi's MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear suspensions have been reworked with sports springs, recalibrated dampers, uprated anti-roll bars and increased front subframe and rear cross-member rigidity. The steering has been tuned for a heavier weighting, while wider tracks, increased by 10mm at the front and 20mm at the rear, complete the chassis changes. And let's not forget those large 302mm ventilated disc brakes in front and 249mm discs behind.
