New Honda Civic 2013 at Los Angeles Motor Show
The new honda civic unveiled at the 2012 LA Auto Show, complete with its substantially revised interior and exterior, which the Japanese automaker hopes will stem the tide of criticism levied at the completely redesigned 2012 model. Designers did away with the short-lived front and rear ends found on last year's ill-received Civic in favor of a look that borrows heavily from the attractive Accord line.

Mercedes Teases W212 E-Class Facelift Headlights
The new Mercedes W212 E-Class facelift is a really comprehensive, and it brings the E-Class design up to date with the current Mercedes-Benz design language found on cars like the current A-Class, B-Class and M-Class. The twin headlamp design have been ‘merged’ to a new single lens design that reminds us of the old W220 S-Class. The headlamps are fitted with partial LED lights as standard, while full LED technology is available for the first time in this class as an option. Flowing light elements within the headlamps that also function as daytime running lights help to ensure that the “four-eyed” look which is typical of the E-Class has been graphically retained.
The engine range will most likely include the 3.5-liter V6 for the E350 and the 4.7-liter twin-turbo V8 for the E500/E550. As for the E63 AMG, the engine in that monster should continue to remain the same. Mercedes reportedly has a turbocharged 3-liter V6 with 333 hp, which they will introduce to the new C-Class, and maybe even the E-Class.

It is rated at 118HP (120PS) at 4,000 rpm and 300Nm (221.3 lb-ft) at 2,000 rpm with Honda stating that the Civic will return a combined consumption of just 3.6lt/100km (65.3 mpg US or 78.5 mpg UK) with CO2 emission of only 94 g/km (for cars with 16-inch wheels).

Chevrolet Sonic arrived in Malaysia
Chevrolet Malaysia launched a new subcompact vehicle named Chevrolet Sonic or the “Sonic”. The Sonic is available as both a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback, giving it a presence in the highly competitive B-segment.
Imported from Thailand and shod with 16-inch wheels, the Sonic is said to be able to achieve fuel efficiency of 8.1 litres per 100km. Its 16-valve DOHC 1.4-litre Ecotec engine with D-CVCP (double continuous valve cam phasing) outputs 100hp @ 6,000rpm and 130Nm @ 4,000rpm and is matched to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The sedan variant has 466 litres of rear cargo space, and a 2,525mm wheelbase should provide adequate legroom. Features include ABS, EBD (electronic brake distribution), two airbags and HBA (hydraulic brake assist).
The equipment levels are what would be expected of a model in this price range with the instrument panel standing out as a very unique feature. It’s a futuristic pod with a digital speedometer and a large tachometer. Unique layouts don’t always prove to be practical or legible but the Sonic’s pod is quite well designed from the ergonomic point of view.
The Chevrolet Sonic has introductory retail price tags of RM76,888 (sedan) and RM78,888 (hatchback). It comes with a five-year/200,000km warranty (whichever comes first).
